RF skin tightening sales and delivery scripts

The full four-script set, including treatment delivery and safety

Radiofrequency tightening is sold on a promise the patient can't verify for months, delivered by a provider whose technique nobody standardised, on a device whose settings vary by operator. Three different leaks, three different scripts.

Where the revenue leaks

The leak isn't the treatment. It's the conversation around it.

RF has the widest provider-to-provider variance of anything on a medspa menu.

Two patients buy the same six-session package. One is treated by a provider who works to a defined endpoint, tracks passes and documents settings. The other is treated by someone doing their honest best from memory. Both patients paid the same. Only one tells their friends.

That is why RF is the treatment where Perform includes a full treatment delivery and safety script alongside the three sales conversations — the hands-on process is part of the product, and part of the risk.

4–6 sessions

The typical series. Clinics selling single sessions rather than the series are selling a result the single session structurally cannot produce — and then absorbing the disappointment.

The four conversations

RF Skin Tightening, broken into the sale

  • Phone

Setting the series expectation before the first booking

The caller usually wants to try one and see. The script explains why RF is cumulative without sounding like a hard sell, screens for contraindications early, and books the consult with the series already framed as the normal course of treatment.

Fixes: single-session bookings that were always going to disappoint

  • Consultation

Laxity assessment, realistic outcomes and the package

Assessing and describing skin laxity in language the patient recognises, being explicit about what RF will and won't do compared with surgical options, mapping the session schedule to their calendar, and presenting maintenance as part of the plan rather than an afterthought.

Fixes: over-promised outcomes and the refunds that follow

  • Treatment delivery & safety

Room setup, coupling, passes and endpoint

The complete delivery protocol — published in full below. Room and device preparation, skin prep and coupling medium, handpiece movement and pass discipline, thermal monitoring and endpoint recognition, contraindication checks and the escalation path.

Fixes: provider-to-provider variance, adverse events, inconsistent results

  • Farewell & retail

    Reinforcing progress between sessions

The desk conversation after a session where the patient can't yet see much: what's happening in the tissue, what to do at home, which retail actually supports the result, and the next session booked on the correct interval rather than whenever they get around to it.

Fixes: series drop-off after session two

From the script

What it actually sounds like

Every module is written as language a person can say out loud, then built into a Veya AI Coach roleplay so your team practises it before a patient hears it.

Sample exchange — front desk script, "can I just try one session?"

Caller

I'd like to book one session of the skin tightening and see how it goes.

Front desk

I can absolutely book you in. Can I explain how the treatment works first, so you know what one session will show you?

Caller

Go on.

Front desk

Radiofrequency works by heating the deeper layer of the skin so it produces new collagen. That production happens over weeks after each session, and it builds. So after one session most people feel a bit tighter for a few days and then think it's gone — because the real change is still being made underneath. It usually becomes properly visible around session three, and the course is four to six.

Caller

So one session is pointless.

Front desk

It's not pointless, but I don't want you to judge the treatment on it. What I'd suggest is a consultation first — no charge — where our provider assesses your skin and tells you honestly whether RF is the right tool for what's bothering you. For some people it isn't, and we'll tell you that. If it is, you'll get a proper session count and a price for the course, and you can decide with real numbers. Does a weekday or a Saturday work better?

Why this works: the front desk never refuses the booking — refusal reads as a sales tactic. It offers the mechanism, names the risk of judging on one session, and redirects to an assessment where a qualified person makes the recommendation.

Treatment delivery & safety

What the delivery script covers

Published in full, because consistency between providers is what the patient is actually paying for. Device parameters always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and your medical director's written protocol — this module teaches the reasoning, the sequence and the documentation discipline around them.

  • Room & deviceDevice powered, self-test complete, handpiece and tip inspected for damage, consumables in date, treatment surface prepared, timer and documentation sheet ready before the patient enters.
  • ScreeningContraindication review at every visit, not just the first — implanted electronic devices, metal implants in the field, pregnancy, active infection or inflammation in the area, recent injectables in the treatment zone, photosensitising medication, and impaired sensation.
  • Skin prepArea cleansed and fully dried, all product and makeup removed, jewellery out of the field, grounding pad placed correctly where the device requires one.
  • CouplingAdequate and continuously maintained coupling medium across the whole treatment zone. Loss of coupling is the single most common cause of an uneven or uncomfortable treatment, so the script builds in reapplication points.
  • ParametersSelected per the manufacturer's instructions for use and your medical director's written protocol, adjusted for area and patient response. The module teaches the reasoning and the documentation discipline — it does not substitute for device-specific manufacturer training or certification.
  • PassesDefined treatment zones, continuous handpiece movement, consistent pass counts per zone, and recorded passes so the next session is comparable rather than guessed.
  • MonitoringThermal monitoring at the intervals your protocol specifies, continuous patient feedback using an agreed comfort scale, and the stated criteria for reducing parameters or stopping.
  • EndpointThe defined clinical endpoint for the area, how to recognise it, and what to document — settings, passes, endpoint reached, patient response, any deviation.
  • Post-treatmentExpected immediate appearance, cooling if indicated, sun protection instruction, activity restrictions, what is normal in the following 48 hours and what is not.
  • EscalationSigns that require immediate clinician review, who to contact, the timeframe, and the incident documentation the clinic requires.
