Laser hair removal sales and delivery scripts

The volume treatment that trains your entire front desk

Laser hair removal is where most medspas learn to sell. It is high volume, heavily shopped, protocol-dependent, and the single best training ground your front desk will ever get.

Where the revenue leaks

The leak isn't the treatment. It's the conversation around it.

Two things leak here, and one of them costs more than money.

The first is price: packages compared line-by-line against every clinic in a ten-mile radius, won or lost on the phone in ninety seconds. The second is qualification. A patient booked without proper skin-type and contraindication screening arrives, gets turned away or treated sub-optimally, and you've spent a laser room, a provider hour and the trust in one appointment.

The third thing, which most clinics never address at all: laser patients visit six to eight times a year and are almost never asked about anything else on the menu.

6–8 sessions

A standard course puts a laser patient in your building more often than almost any other treatment on the menu — and the farewell script is the only structured moment where anything else gets mentioned.

The four conversations

Laser Hair Removal, broken into the sale

  • Phone

Screening and package framing in one call

Skin type, hair colour, medication, recent sun exposure and prior treatment history gathered conversationally rather than as an interrogation, plus package pricing explained against per-session pricing so the caller can compare properly rather than on headline number alone.

    Fixes: unqualified bookings, price-only comparison

  • Consultation

Patch testing, realistic session counts and the full-course conversation

Explaining growth cycles so the session count makes sense, patch test framing, honest conversation about hair types that respond less well, and presenting the course as a course.

Fixes: patients who stop at session three and blame the laser

  • Treatment delivery & safety

Eyewear, settings, test spot and endpoint

Full delivery protocol below — eye protection discipline, area preparation, test spot and response assessment, cooling, coverage pattern, endpoint recognition and post-treatment instruction.

Fixes: adverse events, uneven coverage, provider variance

  • Farewell & retail

Aftercare, rebooking on cycle, and the bridge to skin

Aftercare that actually gets followed, the next session booked on the correct interval for the area, and the natural, non-pushy transition into a skin conversation with a patient who already trusts you and is already in the building.

Fixes: course drop-off, and a captive audience nobody talks to

From the script

What it actually sounds like

Every module is written as language a person can say out loud, then built into a Veya AI Coach roleplay so your team practises it before a patient hears it.

Sample exchange — farewell script, the bridge from hair to skin

Provider

That's you done — session four. How did that compare to last time?

Patient

Much easier, honestly. There's way less there.

Provider

That's exactly where you should be at four. I've booked session five for six weeks — same time, same day, is that still working for you?

Patient

Perfect.

Provider

Can I mention one thing while you're here? You said at your consult that the pigmentation on your cheeks bothered you more than the hair did. I didn't want to raise it while we were still getting your course underway, but you're responding well and you're in every six weeks anyway.

Patient

I'd forgotten I said that.

Provider

There's no pressure and nothing to decide today. If you'd like, I can put you in for a fifteen-minute skin consultation before your next laser session — same visit, no extra trip — and someone will tell you honestly whether it's worth treating. If it isn't, they'll say so.

Why this works: the cross-sell is anchored to something the patient said themselves, raised only after the course is established, and attached to an appointment they were already making. Nothing is asked for on the day.

Treatment delivery & safety

What the delivery script covers

Published in full, because consistency between providers is what the patient is actually paying for. Device parameters always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and your medical director's written protocol — this module teaches the reasoning, the sequence and the documentation discipline around them.

  • ScreeningFitzpatrick skin type assessed and recorded, hair colour and coarseness noted, photosensitising medication reviewed, recent sun exposure and tanning products checked, prior treatment and adverse response history confirmed — repeated at every visit, not just the first.
  • Consent & documentationSigned consent current, area photography where your protocol requires it, and previous session settings and response reviewed before selecting today's.
  • Eye protectionCorrect wavelength-rated eyewear on every person in the room, verified before the device is enabled. Door signage and controlled entry for the duration of the treatment.
  • Area preparationSkin clean, dry and free of product, area shaved as instructed, any tattoos or lesions covered or avoided, ink and moles marked and excluded.
  • Test spotWhere indicated by protocol or a change in circumstances, a test spot with a documented waiting period and assessed response before proceeding.
  • ParametersSelected per the manufacturer's instructions for use and your medical director's written protocol, appropriate to skin type and area. The module teaches selection logic and documentation discipline; it does not replace device-specific manufacturer training or your local certification requirements.
  • CoolingCooling method applied per device requirements and maintained throughout, with particular attention to darker skin types and bonier areas.
  • CoverageSystematic overlapping pattern with defined zones, no double-stacking, and verification that the whole area has been covered before moving on.
  • EndpointExpected clinical endpoint described and recognised, with clear criteria for reducing parameters or stopping. Settings, passes, endpoint and patient response documented for the next session.
  • Post-treatmentCooling as indicated, sun avoidance and SPF instruction, activity and heat restrictions, expected appearance over 24–48 hours, and the shedding phase explained so it isn't mistaken for regrowth.
  • EscalationBlistering, disproportionate pain, unexpected pigment change or any response outside protocol — immediate clinician review, named contact, documented incident.
